Chasselas is the Swiss wine grape par excellence that gives birth to wines which are remarkable for their freshness, often with floral touches. It took root and spread over the alluvial soil of the Arve river area, characterized by a layer of clay left by the glaciers, sand and lime. Its wine gives an intensely yellow robe and powerful floral nose with aromas of white flowers, pollen and linden.

Grape variety

Chasselas AOC Premier Cru

Chasselas, the typical Swiss grape variety, grows especially well on Geneva soil and produces a refreshing wine with pleasing floral notes.

This vineyard situated in the municipalities of Laconnex and Soral was formed by alluvial deposits of the Arve and can be considered the “Champagne” of Geneva. The soil consists of a bottom layer of clay covered by several metres of gravel, sand and mud.
