La Cave de Genève’s password for all its activities is quality, in order to offer you wines for all occasions and every taste. This company philosophy is shared by its staff, people who work with the company and its grape growers. The 320 hectares under contract provide 3,000 tons of grapes (55% red and 45% white) that are cultivated and vinified every year.
La Cave de Genève, under the presidency of Didier Fischer and the management of Jérôme Leupin, is one of the premium wine producers in the region. Its strength is a solid, motivated team which, working closely with its growers and a large number of seasonal workers, is evident in the great care taken with these wines that are bottled directly at the cellar.
La Cave de Genève has three departments and some 20 employees in Satigny. Production, with a staff of 10, handles activities that are part of the cellar: receiving the grapes, the vinification process, bottling, stocking and preparing orders. Under the management of its 2 oenologists, Florian Barthassat and Patrick Gräzer, our team has made it a point of honour to follow very clean and precise methods for maturing wines, adapting the work to the needs of each grape variety and for each customer.
Another group of staff is responsible for sales, communication and marketing. Under the direction of Jérôme Leupin, our sales and marketing directors work in the field, to ensure orders are delivered and showing new vintages to distributors. Two marketing assistants manage the events in which La Cave de Genève takes part: Les Automnales in Geneva, Expovina in Zurich, and others. The marketing service oversees different partnerships. Muriel Jeanrenaud is responsible for the whole of our cellar activities, which also include sales to the general public through the cellar shop.
Five people share the financial and administrative work that covers accounting, billing and human resources. To best meet your needs, our reception is open every day, to welcome you. Whether it’s on a daily basis or occasionally (harvests, fairs, exhibits), many long-time employees take part actively in building the name and recognition for the promising little seeds that grow in Geneva’s vineyards.
La Cave de Genève works closely with a network of professional grape growers whose vine parcels are spread over 3 wine-producing regions in the canton. Their job is to ensure an impeccable harvest that meets the company’s strict requirements, as well as those of the palate. The notable and seductive line of wines with the signature of the 2 Michelin stars chef Philippe Chevrier have been developed with Nicolas Bonnet.
