L’Esprit de Genève is the product of a group of Geneva-based wine producers and experts wishing to spread the spirit of Geneva wine beyond the region’s borders. The composition of this blend adheres to specifi c requirements which include partial or complete raising in oak barrels as well as the integration of a minimum of 50% Gamay and 25% Gamaret or Garanoir. The quality of the wines is ensured by the application of strict production rules defi ned in a charter and a final approval tasting.

VINIFICATION
Cold grape harvest received by gravity. Fermentation with selective punching down. Gentle pressing. Cask portion matured for 12 months in French wood.
EYE
Clear colour with sustained intensity and violet shades.
NOSE
Marked intensity. Notes of dark berry fruits and liquorice. A complex and refi ned nose with a light toasted hint thanks to the partial maturation in casks.
MOUTH
Supple and fresh attack. Generous mid-palate with fruity, liquorice and woody notes of the nose. Moderate structure with silky tannins. The elegant finish confirms a very fine balance. The lingering finish is fresh and fruity.
